With the Canada Post strike, the Library has made the difficult decision to suspend the physical shipment of library resources. We can, however, continue fulfilling requests for digital materials, following fair dealing guidelines.
Until the strike is resolved, the following measures will be in place:
- For patrons at other Canadian universities: The Library will not be able to fulfill requests for physical items (books, DVDs, etc.) from other libraries in Canada for materials in our collection.
- For members of the Laurentian University community: Depending on policies put in place at other libraries across Canada, members of the Laurentian University community may not be able to request physical items from these libraries.
- For Laurentian University distance education students: The Library will not be able to fulfill requests for shipment of physical items from our collection to your home. We can, however, scan a chapter or up to 10% of a book (whichever is greater) and send a PDF. If you are not sure what portion of the book is needed, please request a scan of the Table of Contents.
For any questions or concerns, please contact library@laurentian.ca. Thank you for your understanding.
