Curbside pickup and scanning services

J.N. Desmarais Library and Architecture Library

As part of the Laurentian University Phase 2,  we are now able to provide access to our physical collection through our new curbside pickup and scanning services. These services are available to Laurentian University faculty members, students and staff members.

If a digital version of a title is not available, please use this form to request physical items for curbside pickup or for the scanning of articles or chapters in our print or microfilm/microfiche collection. Please note that scanning may be limited so as to remain in conformity with licenses and copyright law.

Simply select the date and time for pickup, and the library team will then retrieve the item and send you an email notification when your item is available for pick-up. At present, pickup hours will be from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

When using the Curbside Pickup Service, as part of the Laurentian University Health and Safety procedures, you will be required to wear a mask, maintain physical distancing, and follow all instructions and on-site signage.

For information concerning the archives, please visit https://biblio.laurentian.ca/research/guides/archives

RACER, our regular inter-library loan service, is available for digital materials only (copies of book chapters, articles); printed books/documents are not available until further notice.

We are hoping to soon provide enhanced online access to books normally available only in print through a membership in HathiTrust; once this is achieved, loaning of physical books will be possible only if they are not available through HathiTrust.  We will announce this development as soon as we are able.
