About the Proxy Server

Because of publisher's licences, access to many of the electronic journals and databases available on the library's website are restricted to the Laurentian University community.

The proxy server allows students, faculty and staff at the University to access these licensed resources off campus.

I tried to use one of the electronic resources and got a message saying that "the maximum number of simultaneous users has been reached. Please try again". Can I still get on?

Yes, but you may have to wait a short time before trying to access it again. Some products licensed by the library are restricted to a certain number of simultaneous users. If you are unable to get on, it means that the maximum number has been reached. Please continue trying.
