You are here

Welcome to the Laurentian Library & Archives!

We're excited to welcome you to the Library and Archives, whether you are new to the Laurentian community or a returning student.

We hope you’ll take the time to discover the wealth of resources and services the Library and Archives have to offer. We have a variety of different spaces, both on the main campus and downtown. From the J.N. Desmarais Library and Archives to the specialized collections at the Architecture Library and Education Resource Centre, we have everything you need to succeed.

Whether you are seeking scholarly articles, conducting research, using group study rooms, or simply finding a quiet place to study, our knowledgeable and helpful librarians and staff are here to help. Our website is where you’ll find a wide range of resources, including research and citation guides. Omni, the Library’s discovery tool, is your first stop for finding print and electronic books, articles, and more. If you can’t find what you need, you can request it through Omni, and we’ll get it for you. And don’t forget that you can always ask for help, either by booking a consultation with your liaison librarian or archivist or using the Ask - Chat with the Library service.

Please don’t hesitate to visit us often to discover all that the Library has to offer.

Best wishes for a successful academic year!

Danielle Dennie, University Librarian, on behalf of the Library & Archives team.
