French resources

Over the last two years, the library subscribed to resources thanks to funds made available through the Bureau des Affaires Francophones from Canadian Heritage’s Action Plan for Official Languages bilingualism grant. 

  • CAIRN: Subscription to thousands of reference books and the “Que sais-je” series alongside the CAIRN humanities and social sciences database with over 500 journals and 20,000 full-text ebooks, mainly in French.
  • ScholarVox: Provides access to 22,000 ebooks in English and 60,000 books in French covering a wide range of subjects.
  • Curio: Provides access to thousands of Radio-Canada and CBC programs and documentaries in English and French.
  • Érudit: Humanities and social sciences database with over 150 full-text journals as well as ebooks, theses and research reports from academic institutions.
  • Visible body: 3D reference tool for the human body, featuring gross anatomy, functional units, cross-sections, muscle attachment sites, bone landmarks, muscle actions and much more.
