Located on the first floor of the J.N. Desmarais Library, the Laurentian University Archives are open to all and serve to preserve and promote the memory of the University community, as well as the collective memory of Northeastern Ontario. The Archives must also meet the needs of teaching and research by ensuring access to archival material.
The Archives hold institutional archives created by Laurentian University, as well as non-institutional archival fonds from organizations and individuals from the Laurentian University and Northeastern Ontario communities. Seven special collections are also housed in the Archives. For more information, see the Laurentian University Archives Acquisition Policy.
Please note that an appointment is required to consult archival material. If you would like to book an appointment or have any other questions, contact the Archives!
