  • Interlibrary loan services are for current students, faculty, and staff. Community members and Alumni can use interlibrary loan services at the local public library.
  • Loan periods are determined by the lending library and vary from 6 weeks to 120 days.
  • All material is subject to recall. A recall is when another person requests the item that someone else has borrowed. Once an item has been recalled, the borrower will have 14 days to return the item.
  • The loss of any library materials should be reported to library@laurentian.ca. Borrowers must pay the replacement cost and fines set by the lending library.

You can return borrowed items at the following locations:

  1. Any Library Service Desk at any Laurentian Library or Resource Centre during opening hours.
  2. Any book return bin on Campus:
    1. The outdoor book return bin, located near the south-facing doors of the Arts Building, near the Tim Horton’s entrance.
    2. The book return bin, located in the Alphonse Raymond Building near the Tim Horton’s.
    3. The book return bin directly outside the 2nd floor entrance to J.N. Desmarais Library.
  3. Any Ontario university library that participates in Omni.

Please do not place Chromebooks or other fragile items in the book return bin. If you are unable to visit the Library during our hours of operation, email us at library@laurentian.ca to make alternate arrangements.

If you live more than 50 km from campus, contact us by email at library@laurentian.ca and we will send you a prepaid shipping label to return your books by Canada Post.
